Restricting Bidder Access
Access to lots and line items can be restricted through the bidder's member detail page.
IMPORTANT: If you wish to temporarily suspend a bidder from an entire event, use the suspend bidder feature, not lot and line item permissions. See the related articles at the bottom of this page for more information.
Step 1: Navigate to the bidder's edit page
From anywhere within the event, click on the Members tab.

Click on any bidder to open their bidder detail page.

Step 2: Adjust the bidder's permissions
Then click the Edit Bidder button.

Unchecking or checking lots and line items in the Visible column of the grid allows you to specify which auction components a bidder has access to:
- Checked: A bidder can access a lot or line item.
- Unchecked: A bidder cannot access a lot or line item.
WARNING: Removing a bidder's permissions for a line item after they have placed bids will delete any bids placed for that item. Don't worry, you have to save any changes before this happens. You will receive confirmation before any bids are deleted.

PRO TIPS:
- Checking the box in a lot row checks/unchecks all line items for that lot.
- Click-and-drag to select multiple cells, then use the spacebar to toggle the check/unchecked state.
- You can use the tip above, even if the boxes are mixed (checked & unchecked), try it!
Step 3: Save your changes
When you're satisfied with your changes, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
